Support for Yapgirl

Yapgirl uses Sign in with Apple and phone number verification. Open Yapgirl, tap Sign in with Apple, then enter your phone number and the verification code sent by SMS.

Contacts permission helps Yapgirl identify which people in your address book are already using Yapgirl, so yaps can be routed to the right friend. Contacts access is optional, and you can revoke it any time in iOS Settings.

Microphone access is required only when you actively record a yap. Yapgirl does not record passively or in the background. If microphone access is denied, you can still open Yapgirl, but recording will not work until permission is enabled.

When you send a yap, it may be processed by server-side AI services to create a transcript and extract helpful context such as topics, events, quotes, and reminders. Yapgirl does not use your yaps or transcripts for advertising, and we do not use them to train AI models.

You can delete your account from inside Yapgirl by going to Settings and choosing Delete Account. You can also email support@yapgirl.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

Confirm that your phone number is entered correctly, that your device has cellular or network service, and that SMS messages are not blocked. If the code still does not arrive, email support@yapgirl.com with the phone number you tried to verify.

Open the friend's profile and tap the flag icon next to the yap you want to report. You can choose a reason such as spam, harassment or bullying, or inappropriate content. Yapgirl reviews every report within 24 hours and may remove content, warn users, restrict access, or terminate accounts when our rules are violated. You can also email support@yapgirl.com.

Open the friend's profile and tap Block & report. Their profile and existing yaps are hidden from your feeds immediately, they cannot send you new yaps, and Yapgirl is notified for review. You can manage blocked users and unblock someone later in Settings.
